"The one person who
has made the greatest difference in my life is Dr Paul Liversidge,
training in Tae Kwon Do changed my life, I was the stereotypical unfit
15 years old. The first time I walked into Dr Liversidge’s class at
Morley sports centre I knew that Tae Kwon Do was for me. I have trained
since 1989; over the years my confidence has grown not only in training
but also in everyday life. I’ve met hundreds of people during that
time, some of which have become great friends.
My greatest
achievement in Tae Kwon Do was when I taught at Chung Yee, with my great
friend Chris Ellis. We helped turn an abandoned warehouse into a fully
functioning Martial Arts gym. I believe it was there where I developed
the most, gaining knowledge from other Martial Arts and the
encouragement from our students to better myself. They were wonderful
times and I still miss them.
I can’t recommend
Martial Arts more highly to anyone; the rewards and sense of achievement
that you receive are immeasurable.
One piece of advice
for training is: You get out, what you put in! "
