Born: 1987 Height: 5’10” Approx. Weight: About 9 Stone. Likes: Training hard and students that do the same. Dislikes: Students that are disinterested and can’t be bothered. Favourite Food: Steak. Favourite Martial Arts Movie: Blood Sport. Current Rank: 3rd Degree Black Belt Favourite Technique: I don’t really have one but I use a side kick more often than not. Hobbies: Other than training I enjoy music. I’ve been playing guitar since 2002 and I enjoy going to gigs and playing in bands. I occasionally play tennis although I’m not great. I first got into Tae Kwon Do when I was at high school. A student from Carnegie taught it after school as part of his placement and I went along being the enthusiastic individual I was back then. Although the classes only lasted a month or so, I had found something that I really enjoyed and that I had taken to quite quickly. Following this, I heard of Impact Tae Kwon Do at Scotthall where I met Mr Simon East who was a fantastic instructor. Mr East trained me for 9 years, helped me to reach my 3rd Degree Black belt and I can’t thank him enough for all of his help and guidance. But he still can’t beat me on Tekken. I’ve always trained at Scotthall but I like to train at different clubs if possible. Throughout the years I have trained at Kirkstall Leisure Centre, the Leeds University Tae Kwon Do Club and their ‘Squad Training’ Sessions, and I am now currently training with Master Liversidge. I like to train at different clubs because for me it has been a great way of developing by meeting and sparring new people, as well as making other great friends. I thoroughly enjoy practicing Tae Kwon Do, it has done wonders for me and I feel it is part of who I am now. I aim to continue training in Tae Kwon Do for as long as I can and I hope to become the best I can possibly be at it. I encourage anyone to learn martial arts, there’s a wealth of knowledge out there and it’s a brilliant way to develop and build character as well as meeting new friends. Robert Caschetto.
